Description
Heat-retaining electric radiator · two interlocked 1 kW circuits · PV and tariff control
Schedule room heat for solar surplus or lower-price electricity
TECHNOTHERM Dynamo S 1000 is a wall-mounted electric radiator with two separate rows of fireclay heat-storage elements. The front 1 kW circuit heats the room during the main period of use. The rear 1 kW circuit is a separately scheduled storage row that can be enabled when photovoltaic surplus or a favourable electricity-price signal is available. Electrical interlocking prevents the two rows from operating at the same time, so the active heater load remains 1 kW rather than 2 kW.
Dynamo S is a partial-storage radiator, not a heat pump and not a large night-storage heater. It does not multiply electrical energy. Its benefit is the ability to move part of the heating demand in time and to continue releasing retained heat after the active circuit switches off. The manufacturer gives up to approximately three hours of residual heat as a reference; actual duration depends on the charge level, room heat loss, airflow and temperature conditions.
Two-stage heat storage
A room-heating row and a separately controlled storage row
The front heating row follows the room thermostat and maintains the selected temperature during the main operating period. The rear row can charge its fireclay elements during configured times. When the storage row is active, the controller blocks the front circuit. The warmed mineral mass then releases heat by radiation and natural convection after charging ends.
This arrangement is useful where the household or building can identify a genuine solar surplus or a favourable tariff window. The result still depends on the building heat loss and correct control settings. Charging the radiator at the wrong time can overheat the room and increase consumption, so the product should be sized from a heat-loss calculation and commissioned as part of the actual electrical and energy-management system.
Two physically separate rows
Normal room heating and scheduled storage use different circuits; the electrical interlock prevents simultaneous operation.
PV-surplus destination
A compatible energy-management system can enable the storage circuit through the integrated Shelly interface when surplus is available.
Dynamic-price scheduling
The storage row can be charged during selected lower-price hours instead of being left permanently active.
Residual heat
The fireclay mass smooths room heat delivery; the stated duration of up to about three hours is conditional, not guaranteed.
Weekly room control
Comfort+, comfort and setback temperatures, adaptive start and open-window detection support regular operation.
Compact wall depth
The 12 cm cabinet provides limited heat storage without the size and floor loading of a full storage heater.
Verified technical data
Dynamo S 1000 specifications
The official TECHNOTHERM catalogue identifies the white Dynamo S 1000, order number 452610210, 1 kW output and 680 × 630 × 120 mm dimensions. It gives a product weight of approximately 43 kg. The current German installation manual MAG-000480, edition 07/26, gives 48 kg for the 1 kW model; use the more conservative 48 kg for wall, lifting and access planning.

Control scope
Room thermostat and surplus control are separate functions
The local thermostat manages room temperature and schedules. Remote TECHNOTHERM room control requires the appropriate SmartBox and app configuration. The Shelly interface is a separate route for enabling the rear storage circuit from a compatible energy-management system. An inverter, meter, SmartBox, EMS, third-party software and any subscription are not included unless expressly stated in the quotation.
WodaTherm™ checks the inverter, meter, local network, switching logic and protection concept before confirming automatic surplus operation. The presence of a Shelly interface alone does not prove direct compatibility with every inverter portal.
Suitable use
For smaller rooms with a verified heat requirement
Dynamo S 1000 can serve as main, supplementary or transitional electric room heating where the heat-loss calculation supports a 1 kW appliance and part of the demand can be shifted in time. It is intended for dry indoor rooms and is not selected from floor area alone. The indicative room range is only a planning aid.
Installation and delivery
Check the wall, clearances and supply circuit before installation
The manual requires at least 5 cm from the sides to masonry, 10 cm to combustible side materials, 8 cm above the floor, 10 cm below a non-combustible element, 15 cm below a combustible element and 50 cm clear in front. The control section remains on the right. The wall and fixings must safely carry the design load, and the heater must never be covered or installed directly below a socket.
Protective earthing and the supply circuit must comply with local rules. Any fixed electrical connection is work for a qualified person and must follow the current manual. In stock. WodaTherm™ confirms unloading, carrying access and delivery date with the order. Installation, SmartBox, metering, subscriptions and external energy-management components are included only when expressly quoted.
