Store energy. Every way.™

Most new Czech home solar systems already include batteries; thermal storage is the next opportunity

A Czech energy-transition study published in 2026 describes battery storage as an important part of photovoltaic growth and a power system with more renewable generation. It notes that 84% of newly installed residential PV systems at the end of 2024 used battery storage.

The study also looks beyond batteries. It identifies electric boilers, thermal stores, hydrogen production and flexible demand as additional ways to use renewable surplus instead of curtailing it.

Use each storage method for the job it does best

Electrical batteries are valuable for loads that must remain electrical. Heat storage can be the more direct destination for energy that will later be used for space heating or hot water. A useful design decides how much surplus belongs in each category before selecting equipment.
